Privacy

Your data, plainly.

What we collect, why, who helps us handle it and how long we keep it. If anything is unclear, just ask.

Who's responsible

Pagehus is run by Herman Bjørheim, trading as Pagehus. I'm responsible for the personal data described here, and you always deal with me directly.

Email hello@pagehus.com or WhatsApp +47 911 06 887.

When you visit pagehus.com

  • No cookies
  • No advertising trackers
  • No account or login

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal data about you.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, handles your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and keep them secure. Our site's request logs at Cloudflare are kept for 7 days at most.

When you contact us

The demo form doesn't send anything to our servers. It opens WhatsApp (or your email app) with your answers filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send.

When you message us, we get what you send: usually your name, your place, your contact details and your question. We use it only to reply, make your demo and follow up.

Email to hello@pagehus.com is forwarded by Cloudflare to Herman's Gmail. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp.

If we made a free demo for your place

We build demos only from what any guest can see online, like your Booking.com, Airbnb or Google Maps listing, your own website or your Instagram. We keep a note of your place, your public contact details and where the demo is, so we can send it to you and follow up.

Each demo is marked as a demo concept and kept out of Google search. If you'd rather we didn't show your place, tell us and it comes off within a day.

If you become a client

We keep your contact details, the photos and texts you send us, and the details of your plan, so we can build and run your site.

You pay by card through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see them. Stripe also gives you a secure page to update your card and see your invoices.

On your site, if it uses these

Guest chat. Guests' questions go to Google's Gemini AI, which writes the answer from the facts you've approved. We keep chats and guest enquiries for 90 days, then delete them automatically. A spam check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) runs before the first message, and our database stores only a scrambled version of the guest's IP address, never the address itself.

If a guest chooses to leave their name, contact details and message, it's emailed to you, with a copy to Herman, so you can reply.

For guest chat and enquiries on your site, you decide how guests' data is used, and Pagehus handles it for you.

Availability calendar. We read only the booked and free dates from your Airbnb and Booking.com calendar links. Guests see which dates are free, and nothing else.

Who helps us

  • Cloudflare: hosting, email, stats
  • Stripe: payments
  • Google: Gmail
  • Google Gemini: guest chat only
  • WhatsApp (Meta): your messages

Chats and guest enquiries are stored in Cloudflare's EU region. Some of these companies are based in the US. Cloudflare, Stripe, Google and Meta (WhatsApp) are each certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for these transfers.

How long we keep it

  • Guest chats: 90 days
  • Guest enquiries: 90 days
  • Cloudflare request logs: 7 days at most
  • Spam-check counters: a few days

Messages and notes about places that don't become clients are deleted 12 months after our last contact.

Client and payment records are kept while your plan runs, then as long as Norwegian bookkeeping rules require. Ask us any time and we'll delete what we don't have to keep.

Your rights

  • See the data we hold about you
  • Have it corrected
  • Have it deleted
  • Object to how we use it

Send one email or WhatsApp to ask. We'll reply within one month at most.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to Norway's data protection authority, Datatilsynet.
